Cruise Day 7 Athens

Today we are in Athens, all of us were going to allow ourselves to wake up naturally without any breakfast or alarms which was short lived as the ship arrived early this morning which meant a early and unwanted wake up, as we are on the 3rd floor we hear everything that goes on when the ship docks so we had loud bangs scraping sounds for hours. Most of us decided that we would not get off here as the main attraction was the Acropolis which was a 30 minute drive away and we were not that bothered, but Elaine Andy Kelly & Warren did get off just to see the nearby town and marina which was very nice by all counts, the rest of us stayed up on deck sunbathing and drinking. We all eventually met up and spent the rest of the day sunbathing and drinking, tonight we are in the main restaurant but first we are going to the early show before dinner to see some swing singer. We all got ready and went to the theatre and got seated, the build up for this guy which was himself boasting about himself had us all think he would be great but he was very average in fact boring so much so we all left him to it about half way through.
We then went for dinner and had a great meal as usual  but as we left the restaurant we could hear some good music coming form down a few levels so we walked down to see a band playing some good music for a change and hung around until they finished.
feeling like we wanted it to continue we then decided to go up to Vortex for some more drinks and a bit of a dance. It wasn’t that busy but we had  a blast. Not a very active day today but a nice break.
