Day 9 Genoa

So this morning having spent a whole day yesterday looking at options for us to get back home on Sunday we still didn’t know what time we were going to get into Genoa. So with my now trusted apps I worked out it would be between 7-9pm depending on average speed and course. So today was much like yesterday only we were getting closer to getting off. For now we believed that we had a transfer organized by Raj to Marseille directly from the ship tonight and a hotel in…

Day 8 At Sea

So at 4am on a toilet run we were still docked in Valencia, so it didn’t look like they had fixed the issue. We eventually woke up at around 7am and a look out of the window showed we were in fact at sea and on our way to Genoa. Now our main concern was how the hell we were going to get back home, the reason we picked Marseille was because it was the only port we could get too fairly easily, so now we were tasked with coming…

Day 6 Ibiza

Good morning from Sunny Ibiza, today we don’t dock until 11:30am so we had plenty of time to take it easy this morning, Ken and Sandy had there breakfast in the restaurant, but as they stop serving at 9:30 myself and Lorna waited till later and had ours up on deck as they serve it until 11:30am. We docked a little late but we had Raj call our butler to escort us off the ship and onto the carnage that was the taxi rank. With 2 ships and a load…

Day 5 At Sea

Good morning peeps, well today is a “At Sea Day” so therefore very relaxed and all taking things easily, so with a late awakening we met up on deck for breakfast at around 10:00am ish for a light breakfast, and then a relaxing time by the pool waiting for the next meal LOL. We stuck it out until later in the afternoon, and when I say we stuck it out it was by n o means a chore we just didn’t want to get too drunk because Karisma was going…

Day 4 Palermo Sicily

Good morning from Sicily, well today caught us all out as we woke up this morning and as we had our breakfast this time up on deck in our pool area we notice the land was really close but we were still moving, we thought today we were going to be at sea, but we soon realised that we were about to dock soon in Palermo so the Cabana we had booked all day was not for the long sea day but a day we disembark, on top of that…

Day 3 Civitavecchia Italy

Good morning from Civitavecchia, don’t ask me to pronounce that. Another lovely sunny day and another port, and this time we have chosen not to get off, as the main excursions are 9 hour round trips mostly to Rome, and as we have been quite recently we couldn’t be bothered to spend 3 hours on a coach. So instead we went to breakfast as usual in the last few minutes allowed and then got prepared for a full day up on the sun deck. Yesterday we had reserved a Cabana…

Day 2 Genoa Italy

Good morning from somewhere off the coast of Italy, we are heading to Genoa but wont arrive until around 11am this morning so after last nights heavy drinking we were all grateful for a not so early start to the day. We still needed to be up by 9am if we wanted breakfast in the Yacht club restaurant so we just about made it and had a nice big breakfast to help soak up all of yesterdays alcohol. After breakfast we all freshened up and then showed Ken and Sandy…

Day 1 Marseille

Good morning and its a early one for us all today as we have to get to Marseille so we were up at 3:30am to catch our transfer to Faro airport, we got there in plenty of time as we were worried that there could be huge queues and we could not afford to miss this flight as our cruise left later today. As it turned out there were no queues and we sailed through checking and security so ended up having nearly 3 hours in the terminal before our…
