Day 2 Princess Cay
Today we were woken up by the anchor dropping off the private island of Princess Cay, we have a full day here and we decided not to be in the first group to get off and avoid the rush and get some breakfast instead so we met up at 9am and headed up to the buffet restaurant on deck 16 for a slap up breakfast. The ship seemed even quieter as a large amount of guests were either off the ship or queuing up for the tenders that were needed to get us to the island.
We went back to our rooms to lather up with sunscreen and agreed to meet at 10am, we all walked down to deck 5 and was met by a staff member who asked if we had a ticket we looked confused and was told just to board the boat, we then realised that about 100 guests were in a waiting room having pre booked with the said ticket and we had jumped the queue.
The tender took about 10 minutes to get us over to the island which gave us all an ideal opportunity to get a great picture of our ship, the sea colour was also an amazing deep blue and clear to the bottom.
We noticed on the way over there were 2 sides to the island we could use and we opted for the quieter side, but when we got settled we were told that the bar and restaurant was not open due to the lack of guests on the ship, we decided to stay and we would do a relay over to the bar when we needed drinks.
Paul and Lorna was straight off and dipping in the sea which was surprisingly cold but nice once you were in. Us guys walked over to the other side to get some drinks for us all and were able to stock up on some beers also. The day on the beach was really nice and relaxing the weather was great and we were happy to stay until around 3pm, but when we all decided we could not be bothered to go over to the other side for late lunch we thought we would head back to the ship and have something to eat in the restaurant so we queued up for the tender back to the ship.
We sun bathed after lunch around the deck but it was a bit windy so we decided to have a few drinks in Bellini´s instead.
it was around 4:45 and we were still in smelly beach clothes and everyone was all dressed up ready for the evening, really these Americans really eat early so had a couple of drinks and shot back to our rooms to get ready for tonight in the Amalfi dinning room.
But first we thought we could match our 80´s music skills in a trivia test in Princess live, we had s such a good time, but failed to win, we came second and was beaten by a single lady who got almost a perfect score. Diner was great as expected and afterwards to went back to the Princess Live show room for what turned out to be another beating in the Disco music quiz, again we think we were 2nd or 3rd but it was a laugh either way.
As it had been another boozy day we all called it a night and went to bed we also were going to lose 1 hour as the clocks went forward at 2am.
Tomorrow a full day at sea so we are hoping the weather is nice so we can get a full day up on deck.
