Day 20

We checked out of our hotel this morning after breakfast and packed our bags yet again and set off for Banff National Park, en-route we were going to take in as many sights as possible, one of the things we decided to do, was create some rock piles, we have been seeing these little creations on the side of the road all the way from Ontario, so we stopped the car and started to build 4 rock creations. hoping that they will stay there forever, who knows, we will never get to see them again that’s for sure.
Anyway after we played at building blocks we drove south towards Banff and stopped off at the Columbian Ice-fields for a tour up the glacier it was going to take about 90 minutes and we would go up onto the glacier on a great big 6 wheel drive Brewster. Once at the top we all was surprised just how big it was and also how bloody cold it was. It was really interesting and a tour worth doing. After we got back to the car we continued towards Banff and stopped of at various lakes en-route.
The only lake we didn’t stop at was Lake Louise, despite it being on the way we kept this lake for tomorrow, the weather was great today but its meant to get better tomorrow and we also want to do other things on the lake like Canoeing, so we have that to look forward too.
Today was a huge improvement over the last few days and we hope the weather is going to remain sunny. The other really nice thing was the surprise we got at the hotel we are staying at for 3 days, The Copperstone Resort is actually outside of Banff despite thinking it was in Banff, but really apart from that its perfect, its a 2 bedroom duplex suite that we are sharing, its like a townhouse and the rate for 3 days was cheaper per person than anything we have paid for so far.
The internet speed here is very slow and I don’t think there will be any videos for 3 days unless we can find an alternative, so sorry about that, but its out of my hands for now.
