Day 3 Sir Bani Yas Island
Today we arrived at Sir Bani Yas Island which is a man made island and used by visiting cruise ships and today we arrived. We had to be tendered in which was fine but it took a while as it was quite far away. Colm & Tamsyn were not coming today and preferred a lazy day on the ship, So Lorna and myself arrived and started to walk along the beach looking for some sun beds, it took a while but we eventually found 2 and sat ourselves down I went and got us some drinks and we were well and truly installed, the weather today was really comfortable with a light breeze, perfect sun bathing really. We had some buffet lunch and carried on sun bathing. It got to about 4is and it was getting a little colder with the winds picking up so we decided to head back to the ship, what we didn’t realise was the queue for the tenders back was huge, I mean 500-600 people long, it took us about an hour to finally get on a tender back by now Lorna was wrapped up in her towel shielding herself form the wind. We got back to the ship and got together with Colm and Tamsyn in a bar and settled down with a few drinks. Tonight we are eating in our main restaurant but we did ask to be moved as our table was really small so we did manage to get a better table and the meal was fine again not excellent but good enough. After dinner we headed back up to the British Pub to see the gang and have a few more drinks, we really like it in there and the bar staff are really great guys and a good laugh. We didn’t stay out that late and that combined with gaining an hour as we have to put the clocks back we headed off to bed. Tomorrow we are at sea so I think we will have a lazy day and a bit more time in bed thanks to the extra hour.
