Day 33

The plan was to stop just outside Seattle and rest up and leave a short journey into the city tomorrow, but the weather was so bad we thought it was better just to push on and get to Seattle a day earlier. So after another 9-hour drive we ended up in the rain stricken city of Seattle the drive was horrible
and after we settled into our room I was just about ready for bed. The room we have faces the space needle and although high up is rather noisy thanks to the single glazed floor to ceiling windows but we were so tired we didn’t notice the noise. Lorna however managed to stay awake long enough to go shopping in Macys that stayed open till midnight and even opens on Christmas day, idiots. We have our Christmas day meal booked in the restaurant in the hotel so hopefully it will offer all the usual stuff. The hotel is quite busy so hopefully we won’t be the only ones here.
