Day 36

Today we had a whole day to prepare for Lorna’s parents to arrive so we didn’t do too much. The car had to go back so we did that in the morning it was only down the road by 8 blocks so that didn’t take up too much time we handed back a car that had been rear ended once and who’s brakes were now shot, they didn’t seem to mind and didn’t even inspect the car despite the 5200 mile endurance it had been through. We did have to go back to Macy’s to get yet another case to take with us as we were now starting to use carrier bags and other small bags. Fine when you’re in the car but we now had to take everything with us on the train so the smaller amount of bags the better. We ended up with 3 large suitcases and two wheelie carryon bags. It also meant we ended up leaving about 10 items of clothing in the hotel room, as there was not enough room. We headed off down to the bar for 4:30 and waited for Ken and Sandy to arrive. They got in as expected at just after 5pm and we had a bottle of Champagne ready for them and settled into a boozy evening. It was great to see them and we spent all night talking about what we had done and what we were hoping to do next. We ate in the hotels restaurant and went to bed taking some more Christmas presents that we had been given. GREAT.
