Day 58
First things first, we had to change the car today, so we drove to Nashville International airport to change the truck or get it repaired. When we got there the guy was very helpful and changed it out with no problems, we even ended up with a full tank of petrol. So now we have another Trailblazer but a bit
bigger than the one we had at the start of the trip. So with all of our technology powered up again we headed towards Louisville in Kentucky. We didn’t stop en-route, as there was no time and not much to see. But we did make our way directly to the Slugger Bat Company where they make baseball bats and also
have a museum there with bats donated from famous players including Babe Ruth. The only problem was that we didn’t realise that we had lost another hour and the place was going to close in 20 minutes. The guy was great and let us in without paying and even gave us a bat each to take with us. It was a shame as the tour included a walk around the factory where they still make the famous bats, but the last tour had finished. Never mind we rushed around and got a few pictures and got a feel for it all. After that we tried to find a decent hotel but they were all really expensive. Then I spotted a Comfort Inn next to one of the expensive hotels and it had rooms and at only $69 with free parking, Internet and breakfast. All of which would have cost us more at the bigger hotels. After we settled in we walked to the main street and the Hard Rock Cafe. We had a nice meal and stayed in there until closing. When we came out it had been snowing for hours and it was freezing, so we staggered back to the hotel and crashed and burned.
