Day 60

It didn’t take us long to get to Charlotte this morning, as it was only 75 miles from where we set off this morning. But because of the short journey time we left a little late today and got into town for about lunchtime. So we checked into the hotel I used when I was here on business a few years ago. We
then walked to the main street and found somewhere to have lunch. We had lunch and then walked back to the hotel to pick the truck up and go to Lowe’s Speedway racetrack home of the NASCAR. But when we got there we found out that the track was being re surfaced and there would be no driving experiences
available. So we tried to sign up for the tour but we missed the last one by 15 minutes. So not a great day for sightseeing. Tonight we will go into town again and have a meal and a few drinks.
