Day 64

Today’s aim was to get to Florida and to the location of our new house that is being built in Kissimmee, so we chanced our luck and held a steady 95mph and reduced the 5-hour journey by 1 hour. First thing we noticed was the temperature increasing the further we drove south. Finally ending up a hot 82 deg in Florida. We checked into a really nice hotel called The Radisson resort on Parkway just on the I-192 which is the road that takes us to Magic Landings where our house is being built. So after we settled in we drove the 10 miles to the complex and rather hastily drove in. I was feeling especially nervous about it for some strange reason and when we turned the corner was saw our house all on its own at the end of the street with only one neighbour a few doors down being built. So we were not surprised and frankly a little relieved as we were planning on paying for this house with the sale of our house in the UK which has not even had a sniff yet. We walked around it and checked what we could and then went to the office to see Tom. But he was not there and we spoke to Andréa who told
us he would be there tomorrow. So we covered a few things and promised to return tomorrow. So with both us now starving we went back to the hotel and had a late lunch around the pool area, which was lovely. For some strange reason another squirrel came out of nowhere and took a shine to me again, so I gave
him a couple of croutons. Tonight we drove down to Downtown Disney where we took a stroll and had a few beers on the riverboat “Fulton’s Crab House” after that we drove back to the hotel, not wanting to tempt fate with the fuzz and ate in the hotel and finished off in the sports bar for a night cap. Tomorrow we are meeting he real estate agent who sold us our house and the finance guy. It’s going to be an informal meeting in the bar so who knows what might happen.
