Day 71

Today when we got up we noticed that the weather was looking good for a day on the beach, but we had not yet explored the island so we thought it would be a good idea after breakfast to drive around Key West and take in the sites. Well the first thing we noticed that in a little over 10 minutes later, we were back where we started and as parking was a nightmare we decided to take the truck back to the hotel’s car park and walk to the sights. But when we got back we re thought about it and decided that a day on the beach would be best. So that’s what we did. Chilled out on the beach and then at about 4 ish we went back to the hotel room to get ready for our night out. Tonight we are going to Sunset Key for a meal. It’s a great little island and we had a reservation for 6:00pm and got the boat over just in time for what we hoped would be a great sunset. BUT as usual when I have the camera it failed us. But the meal was great. The town was really quiet when we hit shore again but we still hit a few bars on the way back to the hotel. I guess this time of the year the weekends are when its the busiest, but it was a lovely warm night and we suddenly realised that the trip was getting closer to the end and we are now
counting the days, the end of this great trip is nearly upon us. What a shame !!
