Day 9 Cruise Naples.

Good morning, well despite going to bed early last night most of us had a restful evening and no doubt Elaine had the worst night confined in there room. But today we were in Naples and the 6 of us were catching the boat over to Capri for a full day on another boat touring the island. But first we had to catch what we thought was going to be a hydrofoil boat over to Capri, we walked the short distance from the ship to the ferry port and boarded a normal boat, now we had been told that today there could be rain and clouds and maybe so rough waters. Well got our seats and sat down, this boat was moving around even though it had not started the trip over yet. Everyone was looking a bit apprehensive about the 45 minute crossing. As we headed out into open waters the boat was tossing all over the place and quite a few people were screaming out when a high wave hit us. We were all a bit quiet and laid ourselves down as low as we could and shut our eyes, the trip took about an hour and as soon as we got off Lorna was marching down to the ticket off to ask why we were on a normal boat and what type of boat we were getting on the way back, she was told it was only running on one engine and our boat back was a hydrofoil and not to worry. Feeling slightly better we walked over to our meeting point of our private boat tour but he was not there, so lorna called hi only to be told that the trip had been cancelled due to weather. Feeling disappointed we decided what to do instead, I think to be honest a few of us were quite happy we were not going back out on those choppy seas.
We decided to go up the cable car to the top and have a look around and some drinks. The view at the top was lovely and the weather cleared up enough to get some nice sunny photos. After a while we needed a drink so settled in a nice bar in the square and had a drink. The prices were not as bad as we thought they would be so we left happy, well I say we left happy the owner was not so happy because Paula smashed her glass on the way out. We walked around some more and then got the cable car back down to the bottom for some lunch in a place me and Lorna had been too before it was on the so called beach and was nice and quiet, we all had a good lunch and then walked round to the port to catch our boat back. We were relieved to see it was in fact a hydrofoil boat and sat down for the 40 minute trip back to the cruise ship. As we docked we could see some ships docked and one of them was the MSC Bellissima which is the ship Lorna and myself our going on next year with some friends.
We walked back to the ship and up on deck for some drinks Andy was there on his own sun bathing and we asked how Elaine was, she was getting better and would be allowed out later at 9pm but they were still not going to the restaurant with us. Tonight was casual so we headed back to our rooms to get ready for our last night in Chops Grill. We met up in the Schooner for pre drinks and went in at 8pm for our evening meal. This time Warren held back on his huge starter and we all had a really nice meal. We finished off down in Centrum again for our last drink and then went to our rooms for our last night on this ship, we have a had a great time the ports of calls were great and the ship was lovely, it was really nice being on a smaller ship this time and I believe a few of us might be back to see her again. Thanks for following our trip. Lorna, Steve, Paula, Rob, Kelly , Warren, Elaine and Andy.
