Day 4 Genoa
Today we are in Genoa but as this place has left me and Lorna a bad taste from a previous stop we were not getting off today, so we agreed to meet on the pool deck for a late breakfast as they serve until 11am the weather was amazing today, Ken and Sandy did get off to have a look around town and we would see them later in the day, in the meantime we all met and had a nice alfresco breakfast poolside. The others were not that bothered about going off ship either so today was going to be a lazy boozy poolside day. We got ourselves enough sunbeds in a spot and settled down for the day, as they serve food pretty much all day by the pool we were keeping ourselves topped up with both food and alcohol. We spent most of the day sat at the bar and we did notice a lot more people embarking and also there were a lot of kids which pissed us off a bit as we have never seen this many people in Yacht club least of all with kids. It wasn’t too bad and later Kelly suggested we went to the sail away party on the 18th deck but omg when we ventured out into gen pop omg it was like a kids party we could not believe how busy and loud it was with so many kids screaming so we continued to where the sail away party was going to be and it wasn’t any better so we sacked it off and came back to the relatively quiet Yacht club pool deck. So it’s safe to say we won’t be doing that again. We stayed by the pool for the rest of the day drinking and watching more people arrive. Eventually we headed back to the rooms to get ready for tonights dash for the round table seriously we were not bothered by it but we were curious to see if the French twats did in fact go early to get it. I went to bar on 16 and went via the restaurant and the table was free at 7.15 one by one our group appeared but by the time we were all present the table was occupied. We stayed for another round and then walked up to the alternative table right next to the circular one, we made sure we didn’t let anything slip and we were laughing and having a great time regardless. After dinner we ventured back into gen pop to see what was going on, it gave us some good opportunities fir some great group photos but it was still very busy and despite it being past midnight there were so many kids running around so we called it a night and came back to our little sanctuary and went to bed.
