Heading home

So with a sad feeling we awoke this morning early to say goodbye to each toher and this wonderful ship and crew. We needed to be off ship by 9am and we had 2 taxis booked for 8:30 and 8:45, we said our goodbyes to the crew and it was really nice at the end of the gangway the main crew including the Captain was there to shake our hands and wish us a good journey. The guys got there taxi first and we followed 15 minutes later we were all going to Terminal one here in Barcelona and as we had to check in at the TAP desk we arranged to meet inside the terminal after we had all gone through security. We got to the desk 3 hours before because we had been told it would open then and met a Canadian couple that had been on our cruise at the front and we then waited for over a hour when trhey finally strolled in and checked us in. The boys were in the First class lounge and by the time we got to them we were knackered nd needed a drink. There flight had been delayed and then we got the new our flight to Lisbon was delayed by narly an hour, we had a connecting flight down to faro that was looking increasingly likely we were not going to catch. Anyway we said our goodbyes and headed off to our gate the guys had to go through passport control but strangely enough there plane was right next to ours. We eventually got on and was passing comments to eachother using the airports WiFi and then they pushed back on their way, we pushed bnack soon after. There were a lot of people onboard that were catching the same flight to Faro so we asked the flight crew if they could at least find out if the flight was ontime and also what gate so we could rush to the gate. The flight was only 1 hour 35 minutes which was good news as we had been told it was 2 hours so there was a saving and then we were told the flight was delayed 20 minutes. What didnt help was when we landed in Lisbon the flight stopped out on the apron and we needed a bus, well we got off and all ran to Gate 7 which turned out to be the furthest gate from where we were, we got there hot and sweaty to see that they had no even started to baord, we eventually go on and we now knew we were going home but for some reason we eneded up sitting on the plane for about 45 minutes, now the flight is only 30 so it was frustrating but the alternative was far worse. We landed and Roger our driver was there to meet us with a bottle of cold water and a 30 minute drive back to our home, stopping off at reception to pick up our new phones and a carton of milk. Its been a fantastic trip and it was great to see the guys and meet Bill. Tanks for following, sorry about the lack of images and videos the ships internet was almost unuseable.
