Day 10 Marseille and home

So as we all had to be out our rooms by 10am  we all got up early showered and met up on the pool deck for breakfast  all our cases were collected last night so we only have hand luggage to carry around until we get off later. We should get into Marseille around 12.30 but we want to try and stay onboard until 1.30pm as we have 2 vans coming to collect us all to take us to the hotel next to the airport as Rob, Paula, Warren and Kelly are not flying till tomorrow and the rest of us don’t catch our flight until around 10pm tonight so we are going to all hang around at the hotel till its time for us to leave. We all checked out and met in the lounge bar on the 16th floor to pass the rest of the day by until we have to get off. Most of us were playing Wordle and struggled with it. It got to the point when we were all completely baffled. Warren and Kelly were arguing over what it coukd be and then eventually Warren forced Kelly to enter his letters and it was right but Warren then explained to Kelly what the word was only out loud, so we all now knew what the word was. We stayed on the ship until 1pm and got lunch and a few more drinks before getting off the ship, we had arranged for the 2 mini vans to pick us up at the same spot they dropped us off at, but we came into port at terminal 1 so we had to walk a fair way to terminal 2 we git to the rendezvous point but a jobsworth security guy forced our vans to go to terminal 1, so we had to walk back in the rain but we got the drivers to meet us half way. We got into the vans and were driven to the holiday Inn close to the airport where Rob, Paula, Warren and Kelly are staying tonight, so as our flight is later tonight we stayed with them for the 5 hours, we had smuggled off 3 bottles of champagne to drink but to cover us we purchased 2 bottles from the hotel to get the glasses and ice bucket.

We stayed until 7.30pm and got the complimentary transfer to the airport we said our goodbyes and went to the airport, we arrived a little too early to check in so waited outside and waited. After a while we walked back in and waited for the check in desk to become available. The airport is very small and not very nice the process was easy enough but it still felt like they didn’t like us Brits. Anyway after a shit expensive bread roll from the cafe we were onboard with a surprise of a 2 hour flight. It was roasting onboard and really noisy as there was a large stagg group. My window seat was missing a window so I couldn’t see anything at all. We touched down around 11.15pm and our bags came out straight away so we were on our way hone thanks to Roger. Came through the front door around midnight and straight off to bed.
