Day 3 Palamos

Today we woke up to a sunny Palamos and we even managed to make it to breakfast today, we didn’t have any excursions planned but as Brandon and JJ had already been here a year ago we followed there lead and walked into town, we wandered around town looking for somewhere to have lunch and a drink, we found a beach bar and sat down, we ordered but it took ages for 3 beers and a sangria to turn up we decided not to eat there. After the drinks we walked back towards the ship and settled for a restaurant near the port we had heard about the famous Palamos prawn dish so we ordered one of those and some other snacks. They were nothing special and we left slightly disappointed.

We got back onboard and went up to the 7th floor deck where they served gourmet burgers. Which were amazing we then decided to stay poolside so JJ secured 4 chairs and we went back to our rooms to change into our swimmers and went back up on deck and relaxed with a few drinks and chatted with some of the other guests Phill and Amy where there who beat us at the quiz yesterday and we chatted with them and Andy and Lisa had a laugh with them whilst drinking more and more. We noticed Rudi the Michlen star chef was sitting down and Brandon walked up to him to ask if it was at all possible for JJ to have a one on one personal chef experience he said he would look into it and we left it at that. The rest of the afternoon was spent topping up our drinks and talking with other guests. We eventually decided it was time to go back to the room to get ready for tonights meal. Lorna and myself knocked on Brandon and JJs door but only Brandon was there none of us had any idea where JJ was we all texted him but he was MIA. Anyway eventually we thought sod it and went to the restaurant figuring he would turn up eventually. Little did we know Chef Rudi had called JJ and said to come to the restaurant to help him prepare tonights muscles speciality option, we walked in and there he was mixing ingredients on the podium in full chefs attire having the time of his life. JJ was loving the attention and once the dust was ready it was poured into the buffet dishes for all the guests to enjoy. Thinking the special treatment was over we walked towards our usual table fir diner but Rudi said no they were setting up a table for the 4 of us Rudi and his lovely wife Jennifer and also the hotel director Jorge was going to join us. We also had champagne provided by chef Rudi so all in all a great experience, after diner Rudi said we should all head up to the main bar on the 7th deck for more drinks. We all went up but the ship was really rocking about and poor Lorna was feeling rough, Jennifer tried to help by massaging her wrists but eventually Lorna said goodnight and went back to the room. The rest of us carried on drinking and then Jennifer appeared with a cigar for JJ and we all went outside. It was getting cold outside so after the cigars were smoked we came back inside where Rudi Jorge sang a song to JJ with the help of the pianist thst had joined the ship today. It was a crazy night certainly one JJ will cherish and at around 3.30am everyone was heading for bed.
