Day 4 St Thomas
Good morning from St Thomas, We woke up today docked in St Thomas and had a lovely view from our balcony, one of the first things I saw was a tine little round dingy type boat with a few people sitting in a circle being driven around the bay it had a table in the middle and it looked like they might have been having drinks and breakfast a very cool little way to get around.
We all went up to the dinning room for a nice big breakfast to line our stomachs as we were going freestyle today with a visit to the cable car station to get a nice view of the bay and our ship as well as go to the famous bar “Taste” and the well know drink “Bushwhacker”. We walked through the shopping area to the base of the cable car and as we had already got our tickets we got onboard and started the climb to the top, The view was amazing and in no time at all we were in Taste sitting down and had ordered 6 of the Bushwhacker drinks, they turned up and we all started to drink them they were clearly very strong but really nice but quite sickly and one was definitely enough. We stayed and carried on drinking and stuck around for a few hours. We were going to go to the beach but we had somehow eaten or drank into the afternoon so we walked back to the ship and went up to the restaurant for a little snack to tie us over till dinner tonight in Amalfi´s. The weather today had been perfect not too hot and comfortable to walk around in. As we left the dinning room we passed by one of the large screens on each deck and there was a message that just appeared “Happy Birthday Amanda” Paul had stated in the app that is was Amandas birthday today just to see if we got a free cake or something, but we didn’t expect to see live messages on each screen around the ship its was very cool. We stopped in our regular bar Bellini´s for some extra drinks, We asked Jenny to see of she could duplicate the Bushwhacker drink as we had the ingredients on our phones. The first attempt was OK but the second one was much closer to the mark but not quite the same so we re named it the Scooby Special and we now have our own drink at Bellini´s. Time was moving on so we headed back to our cabins and got ready for the evening. We went to our dinning room a little bit earlier so we could see the show in the theatre of a comedian. Well he was bloody terrible, not funny at all and Amanda even fell asleep during the performance. We then went to Amalfi for our evening meal which was again really nice and then back to Princess Live to try our hand at a couple of quiz´s. The first one was really good it was musical Bingo, where you had a bingo card with song titles in and they played the songs quite quickly one after the other but didn’t show the title and artist until 2 songs had played it was really intense and as usual we lost. Jacky and Paul went to bed after that and the rest of us stayed for another trivia music quiz. We were determined to win this time but again we came ion second, Lorna was so pissed off she threw the paper across the room claiming the winners had cheated it was all for a paper notepad anyway but it clearly bothered her. It was funny as Nikki came over and thanked us for always supporting her quiz’s and gave us all notepads anyway, we walked back to our rooms and went to bed, another boozy day, tomorrow we are in Dominica.
