Day 51

A late start today as we had to experience the US hospital system, nothing serious just a repeat prescription. But as it’s very different to the National health, it was all a bit or rigmarole. So after the trip to the drug store with our new prescription and $90 dollars lighter we had to pay a further $35 for the drugs. Still its another experience to add to the trip. So at 1:30 we started SE towards Austin Texas but first we stopped off at the Buddy Holly museum or the Buddy Holiday museum as I called it. It was very interesting and the centrepiece apart from some of his guitars and recording studio equipment was his actual glasses recovered from the crash. It was quite eerie looking at them knowing he was wearing them when he met his fate. Some 4 hours later we stopped off in a small town called Brady as it was the only one that had a few hotels to choose from, the next 150 miles would have been a bit dodgy so we stopped. So nothing great today and probably even less tomorrow. We are just keen to get across Texas and start in the eastern part of the US.
